One of the hallmarks of the Illinois Open Series is our consistency from event to event. With each tournament being run the same as the last, players know what to expect when they decide to play in one of our events.

Divisions

All events (other than Rockford and Lemon Lake) are split day events with some divisions playing on Saturday and the others playing on Sunday. Please see the specific event for details.

A note on amateur division names: The IOS team feels that the traditional division names (Advanced/Intermediate/Recreational/Novice) can be misleading. We will instead refer to them as AM I, AM II, AM III, and AM IV. See the FAQ page for more info.

Schedule

The following is the normal schedule for a two rounds in a day shotgun event. The Rockford event follows a different schedule.

7:30am-8:30am Check-in at the course – Required
8:45am – Players meeting
9:00am – First round
Hour break for lunch
Hour after last card from first round – Second round.

15 minutes after last card from second round – Prizes/Awards

The lunch break will end 1 hour from the last card being turned in. Don’t be late. We will get started on time. Follow @iosdiscgolf to be notified of the second round time once it has been set.

Check-in is required. If you are late for check-in, there is a chance that you will be removed from the tournament. If you are running late, please contact another player that can let us know your status. During checkin we are busy taking care of the players who are present and often will ignore our phones during that time.
