2021 Registration Plan
To help provide consistency for planning your tournament schedule and registering for Illinois Open Series events, each event is going to follow the same schedule for registration. There are no walk-up registrations accepted. You will want to set your alarm for Wednesday 7:00pm for all of these dates.
- On the Wednesday 8 weeks before the event: Registration opens to sponsors.
- On the Wednesday 7 weeks before the event: Registration opens to anyone who is a current PDGA member (The IOS has received a waiver to offer this is a registration tier)
- On the Wednesday 6 weeks before the event: Registration is open to everyone.
- On the Wednesday before the event: Registration is closed.
For our last event (IOS #110). Any player who has played or is registered in at least three events in a single division and whose series points are in the top five for that division will be able to register during the sponsor registration period for that division only. We are doing this so that those competing for series trophies may battle it out at the season finale.
Registered players who are bumped due to ratings changes will be given priority over those on the waitlist. We do not allow any player to play in a division they are ineligible for, regardless of the timing of the ratings updates.
Some spots are held back initially and will be assigned based on division demand. If a division is not full, we reserve the right to reallocate spaces to other divisions, but may decline to do so. Our division caps are designed so that we do not have mixed cards.
How can I get early registration in 2022?
Players who play all 6 events in 2021 will be eligible for early registration for all events in 2022.
