The Illinois Open Series is a series of disc golf tournaments in Northern Illinois that has been running for 20 years. It originated with players who sought to run tournaments that they would want to play in. The tournament staff are seasoned veterans at running disc golf tournaments and aim to provide high quality events.
Last year, we had over 400 distinct players participate in at least one event. With more than 100 events to date, we’ve had over 18,000 players served. Many compete for series trophies by playing multiple events over the year. Whether you compete at just one event near your home course or follow the series around Northern Illinois, you can expect a fun day of disc golf at a professionally organized event. Every event is sanctioned by the Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA).
